“It has been 15 years since I moved to Hawaii. For a long time, I have held onto a quiet dream: to craft the finest coffee in Hawaii and bring smiles to people all over the world. And now, at long last, everything is in place to make that dream a reality.”

We proudly support “April Dream,” an initiative that aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams.
This press release represents the dream of Waikiki Coffee, operated by Fun Sense, Inc.
The project launched in November 2025
For over a decade, we have sold numerous coffee brands based in Hawaii.
Building on that experience, we spent roughly three years developing our own original brand, “Waikiki Coffee,” and officially launched sales in Japan in November 2025.
As this was a completely different industry from our previous endeavors, it was a challenge full of firsts for our company.
Thanks to the support of many people, we were able to get off to a smooth start from the very beginning of the project.
However, we also faced many unexpected realities—such as production delays that kept customers waiting for nearly two months, drops in freshness and quality due to large-batch production, and the complexities of navigating different legal regulations and rules depending on the country of sale.
While each of these might seem like a small issue on its own, we believe that paying close attention to such details is absolutely crucial.
Ever since the project began, we have dedicated our days to making steady improvements, refusing to compromise on even the slightest concern.
The decision to establish our own manufacturing facility
The conclusion we reached after countless trials and errors was the resolve to handle the entire process in our own manufacturing facility.
This was driven by the pricing and quality limitations we experienced with contract manufacturing, as well as our deep-seated desire to craft coffee infused with our own passion, rather than relying on something made by someone else.
Bringing everything in-house required securing not just a factory, but an array of equipment, including roasters of various sizes, grinders, packaging machines, and nitrogen flushing machines.
It was a monumental decision for our company—one rooted not in mere business calculations of profit and loss, but in the unwavering pursuit of our dream.
As a result, whether it is a small request from an individual customer or a large-scale order from a corporate client, we are now fully equipped to deliver exceptionally fresh, newly roasted coffee within a one-week turnaround time.
In coffee, small details make a big difference
Striving for a simple and efficient system brought about many other significant changes.
Instead of purchasing coffee beans in bulk from major suppliers, we transitioned to establishing direct contracts with farms that meet our exacting quality standards.
For example, while there are said to be around 700 Kona coffee farms on the Big Island of Hawaii, the specific farm we partner with is an exceptional estate boasting four victories in the most prestigious Kona coffee competition.
Furthermore, by consolidating previously compartmentalized facilities—such as the coffee roastery, the flavor development manufacturer, and the processing plant handling flavoring and packaging—we achieved a highly efficient manufacturing process.
The origin and grade of the coffee beans, pre-processing, refining methods, roasting techniques, flavor processing, and quality control—each of these may seem like a minor detail. However, realizing that an uncompromising dedication to every single one of these elements creates a monumental difference has been a profound learning experience for us.
In April 2026, Waikiki Coffee is finally ready to begin
Through our many trials, errors, and invaluable learning experiences, our comprehensive operational framework is finally complete.
We are thrilled to announce that Aeon’s Caferrante and Jupiter Coffee, which have carried our coffee since November 2025, have officially decided to stock our products as regular, permanent items starting in April 2026.
We are also expanding our online sales presence on platforms like Amazon and steadily growing our network of new business partners. Furthermore, our Waikiki Coffee cafe, entertainment bar, and Hawaiian BBQ locations (spanning the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors at 1-10-1 Minamirinkan, Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture) will be celebrating their grand reopenings one after another starting this April.
To craft the finest coffee in Hawaii and share it with the world—driven by this vision, Waikiki Coffee’s real journey begins now.
A Steady Stream of New Products is Also Rolling Out

The Japan-exclusive “Premium” flavor has already been available for purchase since March 2026.
Utilizing a patented technology that scientifically replicates the fermentation process of Kopi Luwak (civet coffee), we have created an exclusive coffee that only we can produce.
This innovative method minimizes bitterness and acidity while beautifully enhancing the aroma, umami, sweetness, and overall richness.
Additionally, between mid and late April 2026, we will be launching four varieties of our drip coffee: Original, Vanilla Macadamia, Double Vanilla, and Premium.
Following this, in late May, our “Premium Vanilla”—the perfect souvenir—is scheduled to debut at retail stores and farmers’ markets across Hawaii.
Each and every flavor is crafted with the utmost care, and we truly hope that every cup allows you to fully experience the rich spirit of Hawaii.
