Double Vanilla was the most challenging coffee to develop

If mishandled, Double Vanilla could easily become just an artificially flavored coffee.
The biggest challenge was making the aroma strong while maintaining a rich quality of sweetness — ensuring it’s intense but not cloying.
Vanilla Macadamia balances the coffee’s natural nutty notes with vanilla well, so even when flavored, the coffee doesn’t taste too off.
Double Vanilla, however, undergoes further processing to amplify sweetness and aroma, which can quickly result in a chemical taste.
To uphold the concept of filling your room with the scent of Hawaii, we pursued the delicate balance of not overpowering the coffee’s flavor rather than masking it.
To maximize sweetness and aroma without diminishing the coffee’s flavor, we adjust processes to within a margin of error of less than 0.5%.
Differences between Vanilla Macadamia and Double Vanilla

Both coffees use the same bean blend.
Vanilla Macadamia has a gentle aroma and is an aromatic coffee that lets you fully enjoy the coffee’s flavor.
Double Vanilla keeps the coffee’s flavor intact while maximizing aromatic elements and making the taste sweeter.
Compared with the Vanilla Macadamia commonly sold in Hawaii, our Vanilla Macadamia has a slightly milder aroma — about the same as our Double Vanilla.
This is because we prioritize not killing the coffee’s flavor, so we do not use processes like forcing aroma into the beans with ethanol.
Therefore, Double Vanilla is a truly delicious coffee that conveys the spirit of Hawaii to the fullest — an ideal gift coffee.
